Uttapam - A South-Indian Recipe By FoodyBlogger

A South-Indian, fat-n-flat, crispy, super yummy, finger-licking scrummy breakfast. It is adorned with lots of veggies, garnished with cheese and eaten with lots-n-lots of appetite. Uttapam is a south-Indian, salty, crispy pancake which is easy to make and FoodyBlogger loves to share it.



Ingredients:

1) Green gram (Urad dal) - 1/2 cup

2) Rice - 1 cup

3) Onions - 2 to 3 tblspn(finely chopped)

4) Green Chillies - as you like(finely chopped)

5) Tomatoes - 2 to 3 tblspn ( finely chopped)

6) Cheese grated - 1 tblspn (finely chopped)

7) Coriander leaves - 2 to 3 tblspn ( finely chopped)

8) Oil -  2 to 3 teaspoon

9) Salt

10) Curd - 1/2  cup


Procedure:

1) Soak green gram and rice in water, grind it and make a thick batter.

2) Add curd to the batter and ferment it.

3) Grease a flat skillet (Tava) with oil.

4) Add all the veggies in the batter and spread the batter.

5) Grease it from sides until it leaves the skillet from the edges.

6) Cook it well from both the sides.

7) Serve it hot with tomato sauce, coconut chatni and enjoy it with your loved ones.
