Hyderabadi Masala Chicken - A simple dish that will drive you crazy

Do you know that white meat or the chicken breast has anti-cancer properties? Yes indeed, Chicken is the most healthy meat. If people don't understand your unrequited love  for the Chicken then this article can boost your confidence. It has low-cholestrol and lower saturated fats. It has selenium which has anti-cancer properties. Chicken is a heart-healthy protein.
 Maybe that is the reason why people are crazy about it. So to drive you crazy I have popped up with a lip-smacking juicy chicken dish from the "City Of Pearls"- Hyderabad.


                                       HYDERABADI MASALA CHICKEN

                             A recipe with a melange of spices, easy to prepare and worth to eat.


1) 750 grams of chicken 

2) Dry Red chillies - 8
3) Onion - 1
4) Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

5) Coriander seeds - 4 tsp

6) Cumin seeds - 2 tsp

7) Ginger- garlic paste - 2 tsp
8) Curd (Yoghurt) - 200ml
9) Garam masala powder- 1/2 tsp
10) Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp

11) Sliced onions- 3


1) Heat oil in a pan and fry sliced onions till golden brown.

2) Now crush the fried onions and keep it aside.
3) Marinate the chicken with yoghurt, fried onions, ginger-garlic paste, salt and set it for one hour.

4) Dry roast the coriander, cumin, red chillies and grind it with one onion, turmeric and water to make a thick paste.

5) Heat oil and put the ground paste and fry it on a medium flame for 4-5 minutes.

6) After frying it , add the marinated chicken, kashmiri red chilli powder and saute it.

7) Put the lid and cook it for 15 minutes on a medium flame.
8) Add garam masala, and water according to the thickness of gravy you like and put a lid for another 5- minutes.

9) Check if the chicken is cooked , garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot.
